At the end of last year over 5,000 people gathered on various west coast beaches to take a stand against the Anadarko drill-ship that was at that time, just off the coast of Raglan. I took the opportunity to do a short documentary photography series.  It couldn’t have taken place on a better summer’s day however the harsh noon sun did pose a lighting challenge. Traveling lightly for the event I ended up once again having to rely on my pop up flash to fill in the very harsh shadows.
