I thought I would capture some documentary photography at the Latin Market held today. O Mercado Latin (The Latin Market) was inspired by the diversity and creativity of all the Latin Cultures around the world – Latin-American & Latin-Europeans.

I have been shooting a lot of studio and location stuff lately, and I am missing the freedom and creativity that documentary photography brings. Not having a brief to work towards is sometimes a good thing! I found myself a little rusty at the start, just not getting the flow right, perhaps having my family in tow and looking after them, whilst looking at all the goodies on offer, is not the right mindset to get some top notch documentary photography.

I bumped into some friends from the Amigos De Portugal Nova Zelandia, busy enjoying the great food and drink. Next to Julia’s Portuguese Kitchen, which had all my favourites Portuguese delicacies, I found a Mexican stall selling the hottest Habanero sauce I’ve ever come across, so naturally I bought 2 bottles of the Diablo Sauce.

After a bit of shopping and some fantastic food, Stumpy’s Woodfired Pizza for the kids and empanadas for us, I gave it another shot, with better results. I wonder when the next market will be, I really enjoyed today.
