During my trip to South Africa I dropped by our neighbors for a quick catch up. This is where I had the opportunity to take a couple of portraits of Dotti. She’s 86 and staying with her daughter, as she recently lost her husband and is recovering from a bout of Illness.
Dotti is full of life and was reminiscing about the lovely Mickey Mouse tea set she won at a spelling be when she was only 10. The set pictured in one of the portraits is in an impeccable condition and I’m sure the headmaster had no idea that Dotti would hold the prize so dearly and take such good care of it.
For the portraits I once again opted for natural light, shooting with my Nikon D90 and using a wider lens .
